When I found myself in Williamsburg four weekends in a row, I knew it had become one of my favorite weekend escapes from Manhattan. Williamsburg is usually less crowded, it has a more neighborhood-y vibe, and it reminded me a lot of the laid back weekends I would spend in San Francisco. Having gone so many times, I’ve gathered a list of my top things to do in Williamsburg. They also just so happen to make the perfect 1-day itinerary for visiting the neighborhood!
1. Brunch at Sunday in Brooklyn

To experience what I mean by a “laid back weekend vibe”, start your day in Williamsburg by having brunch at Sunday in Brooklyn.
The restaurant has everything you can dream of in a perfect brunch spot: a light-filled space with plants galore, creative cocktails (my friend ordered a cocktail that was served in a honey bear bottle), and pancakes that I’m still dreaming about to this day.
Sunday in Brooklyn does book out fast, so be sure to make a reservation in advance.
2. Grab a Pour Over at Devoción

If brunch is giving you food coma or you just want a caffeine boost, definitely make a stop at Devoción Coffee while you’re in Williamsburg.
The coffee roaster boasts some of the freshest coffee beans you can find in New York. They buy their coffee without a middle man and process the beans in their facility in Colombia. After that, the beans are roasted directly in Brooklyn. You can see their roasting machines when you visit the coffee shop in Williamsburg.

3. Play Mini Golf at Putting Green Brooklyn

One of the best things I’ve done in Williamsburg so far is play mini golf at Putting Green Brooklyn.
Putting Green BK is an 18-hole mini golf pop-up on a waterfront in Williamsburg. Not only does the course offer STUNNING views of the Manhattan skyline, it is also climate-change themed. This means you’ll get to practice your golf swing while also gaining knowledge on climate change and how to prevent it from worsening further.
To this day, it’s probably still one of the most unique things I’ve done in Williamsburg.
4. Admire the Manhattan Skyline From Domino Park

After some golf, walk over to Domino Park to get an even better view of the Williamsburg Bridge and Manhattan across the East River.
Once you get to Domino Park, you’ll realize that one can easily spend an entire afternoon there. There’s a nice stretch of grass that is perfect for picnicking on, and the brewery right next to the park makes it easy to turn a one hour meetup into much more!
P.S. Get your phones ready because you’ll want to take a photo with the views from this spot!
5. Grab a Craft Beer at Other Half Brewing

After visiting Domino Park, walk across the street to Other Half Brewing Company and enjoy some craft beer.
I’m not a huge beer person, but the beer flavors were interesting enough to pique my interest: Laid Back Peach Sour IPA, Past and Present: Robust London Porter, and Triple Juicy Diamonds were just a few of their menu offerings.
Wanderer Tip: ;Get a four-pack to share with friends and get the best bang for your buck!
6. Watch the Sunset from the William Vale Rooftop

I’ve been to a handful of rooftop bars in New York City now, and the views are definitely the prettiest from sunset to dusk. The city looks like a complete different place at night, and seeing the city light up always reminds me of how amazing it is to be living in this city!
To get the best view of the city from Williamsburg, go to Westlight, William Vale Hotel’s rooftop bar that sits on the 22nd floor and has un-obstructed views of Manhattan. Oh and the cocktails are ACTUALLY delicious, so be sure to also grab a drink while you’re there.
